Our 33rd year!
Eight On the Break was founded by Edward Montross in 1973. Ed was WAY far ahead of his time. Many years later a new generation ( me) would take his concept and run with it! The Family Fun Center was born!
"The break" was primarily a "pool hall" at that time but it was the very first place to have the new fangled "TV games". 8OTB has fuzzy wallpaper (still here from the 1970's) shag carpet and paintings on the walls.
It feels like home!
In 1986 my company American Family Fun Centers purchased 8OTB from Mr. Montross. The late 80's saw many changes with a strong focus on video games. It was our ability to change with the times and adopt new ideas that has kept 8OTB alive.
First came the fighting games then the dancing/music games. What ever the fad 8OTB has been on top of it.
Billiards has always been a mainstay at 8OTB and we have the least expensive rates in the tri-state area!
Well that's pretty much the story. 31 years and still going strong! Come on down play some games, grab a bite to eat, and finish with an hour or two playing billiards. I am sure you will leave wanting to come back, I know I did!
